My dear friend the owner of Painted Tiger Movie Studio in PHX AZ called me up one day and said..."Hey man Kerry King from Slayer is shooting a video at my studio and wants fire, I told him only if he uses you....and he needs a 10' flaming pentagram!".
Of course I said you bet man and made the practical effects you can see in the now popular video. King wanted real fire, practical effects, which I provided and worked triggering by hand to the music using my ears behind the speakers. There is CGI fire that was layered over in the final cut in parts but I am happy with the very raw energy and "real" vibe the video holds. Rock on Kerry...fun stuff and thank you Painted Tiger.
