French has been involved in the building of art cars since 2003 when he was on a team to build the "Texas Snail" car.  In 2023 French was the lead for the metal team on the largest new car to come to Burning Man in 2023, "The Abduction" where he led a team to clad the entire two story car in 18ga steel using his armoring techniques.  French put up to code fire systems in "The Fire Rod", Scorpion chair, and Struggle Bus art cars.
